Hi

I would like some help on learning the best way to do this...

I design dielines that are saved as DXF file. Then I design artwork in Photoshop.

I can bring the dieline in to Rhino but that is as far as I get. Smiley

I want to be able to put the artwork on to the dieline and then create a 3D rendering with everything.

Any help would be appreciated. Even if just telling me how to get started.

Or if there is a better way I should be trying to do this as well.

Look forward to your response!

Bram

What do you mean with "dielines"?

Just so that the box is exactly replicated as it will be in production. It is how the shape will be diecut...

So i would have the tuck tabs and dust flaps on a box...can put a clear window on a box, etc.

This sounds like you're wanting to touch ground on UV Texturing which you may know isn't really Rhino's strong suite!

Hopefully a few other members here will touch ground on where you need to go for UV software.

Ok I did not know that. Thanks for that information.  If anybody else would know a good program for doing this, please let me know.

For Rhino, I think V-ray is a good plugin for creating realistic rendering. As for the texture mapping, if it is not to complex can try using Planar or Box mapping... I think..
