Shading/Ghosting not in line with border lines

In my perspective viewport, the shading and/or ghosting feature correctly shades the shape of my model, but it does not line up with the actual coordinates of vectors drawn. It's not off by much, but it's bad enough that object become obscured and the object snap seems to not work properly. I have a jpeg image of what is happening attached. Has anyone experienced anything similar and have a solution or can explain it better than I have above? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

hey scott, if you are still alive and around here somewhere, that's because of your mesh settings are set to low. it does not do any harm save on renders, so no worries about snapping and such (the isocurves are good, that's the important thing, the rest is just appearance). go to options-mesh and select smooth & slower. you can also play with the custom values raising them higher, I generally go with
1
20
20
0.0001
1
0.1
64
and with refine mesh & simple planes active...
you can also buy some anti-wrinkle cream, that helps too..

Thanks....it's seemed to have fixed itself for now, but I will definitely save this advise for later. I think it may have been a glitch with one of the plug-ins I was using. I uninstalled all the ones that I haven't been using, and since then, my views have been aligned.
Thanks again.
