Title: modeling a horse with cross section curves
Post by: george on May 30, 2008, 01:51:53 AM
I have drawn a few longitudinal sections and now need to create surfaces for a rocking horse.

I need a little pointer in the right direction. I was thinking to tackle the legs seperatly, then the body and head.

What would you do from here on, create perpendicular cross sections then loft?

well, since you started it this way, it is obvious that you will try the loft. Does it turn out ok?
I would first try to loft all longitudinal curves, and if that doesn't work, then I would try making things into parts...

T-splines can do subdivision modelling right? You'd have a FAR easier time doing it that way. But if you really have to have it in NURBS, then Ivan is right :).
