Hi,

Nice new forum design  ;) ...but the WIP section is now placed in the bottom of the forum. Unfortunately, there is not enough wips in the forum...and...placed in the bottom doesn't help...

WIP / BMX bike
« on: December 15, 2010, 07:23:54 PM »
Hi everybody !

Ok, I've been away for a long time. My job and family...

Last two weeks, I've been trying to remind how to use Rhino  ;D I'm currently reading some tutorials...

I decided to model a BMX bike.
It's not an easy project for me, I'm a newbie  :-\ But I think I'll learn a lot with this kind of modeling.

I just started the BMX frame modeling. No images for now...but stay tuned !  :D I'll come back soon with some pics of my work.

Troubleshooting / Set Cplane and Mouse move
« on: January 28, 2010, 01:53:54 AM »
Hi everybody,

I've a question about Cplanes.

When I set a new Cplane (according to an abjet, surface or 3 ponts, ....), all seems fine. The new Cplane is OK, but, when I move the mouse to view around (perspective view), it seems that the camera is still set to the origin Cplane. This is a bit confusing. Is there a way to change this behaviour ?

I hope you undestand my question (my english is so bad).

Regards,
Luis

Ask for help / Save perspective view
« on: January 23, 2010, 05:12:46 PM »
Hi,

Is it possible to save a view (e.G. the perspective view).

After I rotate the perspective view, I'd like to come back to the memorized previous perspective.

Thanks,
Luis

Modeling / Modeling a spoon
« on: January 20, 2010, 03:52:29 PM »
Hi everybody,

As you know, i'm a complete newbie on Rhino 3D. I've been learning it for about 2 months.

I'm trying to model a simple spoon, but it seems difficult.
Could someone help me please ? How to start ? With _InterpCrv, then loft ?

Look at the attachment, it's my first spoon. But I'm not satisfied. Am I using the right way to design it ? ( _InterpCrv, then loft, and extrude surface)

Thanks,
Luis

About Site / Tutorials
« on: January 13, 2010, 12:53:58 AM »
Hi bnlake,

I like this forum and your tutorials are very interesting to learn Rhino.

Everyday, there are a lot of "guests" here in this forum, but few people participate in the forum life. They only grab the tutorials then go away.
Maybe it would be better to give access to the tutorials only when someone (registred) has a minimum of messages in the forum.

What do you think of it ?

Luis

Offtopic / RhinoHair plugin
« on: January 05, 2010, 01:08:53 AM »
Hi everybody,

Yesterday I found a nice plugin (command line only / no icons).
It's the Rhino Hair plugin. You can create hair, grass....

The web page : http://liquidtectonics.blogspot.com/

Download and just copy the .rhp file to your Rhino plugins folder.
To use it in Rhino, select a surface and type the command : RhinoHair.

Intersesting project to follow...

WIP / Coca-Cola can
« on: January 04, 2010, 07:22:27 AM »
Good day everybody,

To learn a little bit more Rhino and Vray, I tried to design a Cocal-Cola can.
I used the texture mapping to map the Coca-Cola image on the can.

It is not perfect but I'm still working on it :-)
