Rendering / Electric Image EIAS V8 Renderer
« on: September 21, 2011, 07:45:33 PM »
Hi,

Anybody here have ever use this renderer with Rhino?
Is it any better then Flamingo nxt or Brazil?
I understand EIAS do not have plug-in for Rhino.
I'm more concern in the flexibility and speed of the renderer and final render result.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the help.
Very much appreciate your time.
By the way the price of T-spline and other modeling program like Z Brush is almost the same.
What do you think of the work flow incorporate with external soft compare to plug-in?
I do interior visual works, and often find myself trying to model some deform object in a room to render more realistic environment.
I fall short in this area when using Rhino. I guess I've not fully understand the program yet to make the best use of it.
If you can shine some light in this area, tell me what tools you use in the program to start with will help me greatly.

Modeling / Model A Water Tap

Hi Rhino user,

I've just run into problem modeling a water tap.
I wonder what tools will you use to model a tap like this to create a smooth surface?

So far what I've done is to create the curve and use network surface.
I think I'm doing it wrongly in a way they never get join up.

Any advice?

Hi I just want to add that tools like Maelstrom or Soft-Move can be useful in deform modeling.

Hi guys, thanks for the reply. My intention is to get the top of the model cover up.
I just couldn't get it cover. Thanks to the explaination here, I finally
understand. I do patch now. so just to get it all join as a whole, after patch, I elevate the top and apply loft. haha... finally got all of them in one piece.

Hi, I'm trying on this model and run into problem I cannot solve.
For the top part I cannot cap it but I did patch which was great but I cannot join it.
I tried the help page in rhino yet can't find my solution.
Any idea I can solve this?

Modeling / North Arrow
« on: March 13, 2011, 07:59:55 PM »
Hi,

In Rhino is there an easy way or the way which you guys prefer to draw north arrow on a floor plan?
I wonder is there a function as easy as the Annotate?
Click and drop wouldn't it be great?

Hi, thank you for the reply.

I was referring to the fire flame on a candle.
How do you normally conceive the method on modeling such a subject?
